Unlike any dojo in Chicago, GOTIME™ focuses on martial arts movement relative to each individual's athletic and intellectual advancement.

Co-Owner and Head Martial Arts Instructor Ricky Spritz draws on years of competitive and coaching experience to deliver a complete karate curriculum to GOTIME™ members. Karate programs range in age and experience with specific sessions designed to service individuals with special needs.

Class Description.
Tot Karate | Ages 3 & 4
Teach your tot balance, coordination, listening skills and resilience in this group parent/tot karate class. While the karate basics are covered the focus is on your child's development as an individual and part of a group.

Pre Karate | Ages 4 & 5
Your child will gain invaluable lessons in leadership and sportsmanship while developing their karate skills. This class uses games, obstacle courses and relays to teach processing, sequencing and offer reaction training.

Beginning Karate | Ages 6 - 13
In beginning karate, the instructor uses strength training and plyometrics to develop your child?s hand eye co-ordination, confidence and mastery of movement. Belt testing will occur throughout the program to access your child?s needs and advancement.

Adult Karate | Ages 14 and up welcome
Adult karate is offered at varied levels of experience. Whether you are looking for a new fitness routine or searching for a professional coach to further your development, GOTIME™ has the Adult Karate class for you.

Sessions for Special Needs
Drawing from martial arts disciplines, GOTIME™ works with individuals with special needs to teach balance, sequencing and coordination. These special sessions are designed to meet needs of each participant to advance physical development and teach life skills.

Karate Application for Elite Athletes
Ricky Spritz is uniquely skilled to develop and refine fitness programs specific to each individual. With a history working with elite athletes, Ricky analyzes athlete’s movement and opportunities for growth, relative to their sport. Drawing on karate best practices, he works one-on-one with athletes to create a comprehensive fitness routine designed for their athletic enhancement.
